Hackster.io has had support from a wide range of vendors such as Arduino, SparkFun, Make:, Adafruit, Microsoft, Amazon, NXP, Samsung, Seeed and Cypress. Avnet is a Electronics Component OEM and IT solutions provider. The question then is will this narrow the openness of Hackster? Or will it enable Avnet to get traction with the community with respect components?
